rockITdata is seeking a Network & Computer Systems Admin to join our team. This role will provide onsite technical support and assistance by deploying to field offices of a large federal program. The position is onsite, at Fort Shafter.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct network performance evaluations
Ensuring the reliability and security of critical IT infrastructure
System monitoring
Patch management
Performance tuning and troubleshooting

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT, Computer Science, or related field
8 years of experience in systems administration for Windows, Linux, or VMware environments
Excellent knowledge of relevant operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Red Hat, CentOS) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, ESXi).
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and experienced with system monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintains currency with industry trends and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, RHCSA, RHCE, VMware Certified Professional - VCP)
Familiar with Government IT environment, regulatory requirements, data security best practices and policies
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
