Position Summary
Ragle Inc. is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our operations team. This position is responsible for field welding, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and applicable codes. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on who can effectively work with other crew members, maintain production schedules, and uphold The Ragle Way through safety, accountability, teamwork, and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural steel welding, fabrication, repairs, and field modifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and project specifications
- Ensure all work complies with project requirements, company standards, and applicable AWS/ASME codes
- Be a part of daily safety meetings and follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality and compliance
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumable inventory
- Communicate project progress, concerns, and resource needs to Foreman
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- AWS Certification or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years of welding and fabrication experience in heavy civil, industrial, structural steel, or construction environments
- Strong understanding of welding processes including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and welding symbols
- Working knowledge of AWS, ASME, and applicable industry standards
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
