ON-SITE POSITION
MAJOR FUNCTION
This position works in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer to assure that the assigned day-to-day workflow in the Finance Department is processed in a consistent and timely manner. Directs and sets priorities and deadlines for the work of the finance department staff and vendors. The Director of Finance and Revenue Cycle ensures that financial functions meet state and federal regulations, and meets the Agency's current needs. Provides analytical support to other departments as it relates to financial issues. They are responsible for staff training and development.

SALARY:
$110,800 - $168,400
MAJOR FUNCTION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage Finance Department staff as assigned including hiring, performance management and training.
- Under direction of the CFO prepare and submit regular and annual reports.
- Maintain and keep current Finance Department policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal control systems.
- Assist CFO in development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and internal control systems.
- Oversee and manage month-end close and year-end close. Oversee and direct preparation for all audits.
- Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, analyses and other management reports on a scheduled and as-needed basis.
- Review internal financial statements with CFO and finance staff.
- Monitor agency contracts and compliance with all grant requirements.
- Assist CFO in budget development and financial assessment for new agency programs and ventures and in the development of the annual budget.
- Lead finance team and support the CFO in analyzing opportunities to improve business performance and effectiveness.
- Direct the day to day functions of the Revenue Cycle to assure timeliness and accuracy of billing functions and improve cash collections.
- Oversee and maintain department-specific software including: general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, grants management, plant ledger and others as appropriate.
- Serve as the financial software system administrator; arrange training for finance staff and other users; work closely with Information Technology (IT) vendors and organization IT staff.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend trainings, participate on committees and complete other tasks and assignments as required.
- Learn and engage in the practice of the responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer position.
- Accountable to the Chief Financial Officer for all phases of activities.
- Oversees Finance staff and Revenue Cycle.
- Works closely with IT Administrator when system changes occur.
- Coordinates communication channels between grant accountants and operating personnel with grant responsibilities.
- Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent and/or as assigned by Chief Financial Officer. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum requirements are four-year Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in accounting and five years’ experience in an accounting related field, preferably in Not-for-profit or Cost Accounting.

- At least 5 years of experience in a Management or Financial Leadership position.

- Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, aggressive problem solving, and proven ability to prioritize, lead projects, and develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment.
- Excellent writing skills with ability to present high level data and information to senior level staff and other key stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in financial and cost accounting including comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to prepare clear, concise and easily understandable reports, worksheets and analyses.
- Proficiency in multi-layered budget preparation.
- A demonstrated teamwork style approach to leading with outstanding abilities in relationship building, and coaching/developing the team is essential.
- Experience with state and federal grants management, reporting and compliance.
- Computer literate with automated accounting software, spreadsheets and word processing. Experience with Abila/MIP fund accounting system is preferred.
- Experience in a public health care or community clinic setting & knowledge of fiscal administration as applied to health care operations, preferred.
