Summary:
Goldschmitt is seeking a Backend Developer.

This position is remote with preference given to candidates who live within a commutable distance to the DMV area.

The anticipated salary for this position is $130,000.00-$150,000.00 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise/SaaS applications
  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related testing frameworks
  • Design, develop, document, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services
  • Implement and manage application user authentication and authorization methods
  • Design and maintain databases, data models, queries, and supporting scripts
  • Conduct code reviews and identify opportunities to improve application performance, maintainability, security, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to identify requirements, resolve technical issues, and recommend improvements
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong backend software development experience using Java, Spring Boot and related technologies
  • Experience with relational databases and data modeling
  • Experience with modern software development, testing, deployment, and deployment practices
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possess at least 4 years of professional software development experience, including enterprise software and/or SaaS applications
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree
  • Possess the ability to pass and maintain eligibility for a Public Trust investigation, including United States citizenship
  • Possess experience with the following:
    • Programming Languages: Java
    • Frameworks: Spring Boot, Hibernate
    • Technologies: Web Services (REST), API Management
    • Platforms: AWS, Docker Containers
    • Databases: MySQL, NoSQL
    • Tools: Git, CI/CD, Swagger/OpenAPI, JUnit
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess experience with the following:
    • Programming Languages: Node.js
    • AWS Technologies: AWS GovCloud, CloudFormation, Simple Notification Service (SNS), Cognito, API Gateway, ECS, Application Load Balancers, Lambda Functions, CDK, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, RDS
    • Observability: Spring Boot Actuator/Micrometer, distributed tracing (X-Ray or OpenTelemetry)
    • Databases: DB2, Redis, DynamoDB
    • Compliance & Security: FedRAMP, ATO
