Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our intel team. The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. The position will support mission-critical web service development in support of an Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solution. Technical responsibilities include support for software design, development, integration, testing, and operational maintenance of highly available, enterprise level services. The web services support Attribute Based Access Control by returning attributes and access decisions. The services integrate with a COTS LDAP directory and interface with other microservices and libraries.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $190,000

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to computer engineering or computer disciplines.
- four (4) years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of nine (9) years.
- Two (2) years of work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains
Candidates are desired to have the following skills:
- High level of proficiency and skill with Java software development
- Experience generating and maintaining REST services
- Proficient with Git version control and Maven build tools.
- Familiar with Linux environments
- Skilled at building robust, scalable, secure, and high-performance applications
- Ability to write unit test cases using Junit/Mock testing frameworks.
- Experienced with automated builds using Gitlab Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- PKI encryption and authentication
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
