About the role

Axiom is an established NE Portland custom design and fabrication company known for quality craftsmanship, integrity, and dependability. We offer excellent pay, a fun and engaging work environment, and strong benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k)/ROTH options, 20 days PTO after year one, and 6 paid holidays.

We build custom, one-of-a-kind projects ranging from structural work and retail environments to architectural pieces and works of art. Our fabricators do more than weld; we share skills across fabrication, MIG/TIG welding, press brake, and laser operations. If you have solid fabrication experience, we're willing to train you on the equipment you don't yet know.

What we're looking for:
  • Metal fabrication experience with a background in structural steel
  • MIG and TIG welding experience
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings and work from detailed instructions
  • Experience with sheet metal, tubing, stainless, carbon steel, aluminum, and mild steel preferred
  • Ability to produce clean, precise work to tight tolerances
  • Strong measuring, layout, math, and equipment setup skills
  • Reliable, conscientious, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, become structurally certified, and participate in installations
Schedule: Typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with flexibility for overtime, occasional goal-oriented extended days, and infrequent Saturday work.

You'll work as part of a small, skilled team where your craftsmanship has a direct impact on every project. We're looking for someone interested in building a career, not just finding another welding job.
