A Day in the Life at Electrical Specialists

Your day starts by reviewing a residential installation job that has already been sold, so you can focus on leading the work instead of selling it.

You'll make sure your crew has the materials, tools, and equipment it needs, then lead the way on panel replacements, service upgrades, new circuits, and other electrical improvements in homes around Topeka.

Along the way, you'll train less-experienced electricians and help your crew get better and faster under your leadership.

You'll know what's expected, and you'll have the room to own your projects without someone looking over your shoulder.

• $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

What You'll Be Doing:

• Reviewing pre-sold jobs and preparing for smooth installations
• Leading and working alongside an installation crew
• Making sure materials, tools, and equipment are ready for each job
• Performing residential installations, including panel replacements, service upgrades, and circuits
• Keeping every jobsite safe, organized, and productive
• Training and developing less-experienced electricians
• Finishing jobs on time, within labor budgets, and to customer expectations
• Completing job paperwork and keeping customers, teammates, and management updated

Who We're Looking For:

You lead by example, set the pace, and hold yourself and your crew accountable.

You take ownership of your projects from start to finish, and you solve problems without waiting to be told.

You're open to feedback and always looking to improve your skills and help others improve too.

Beyond that:

• Valid electrical license for the work performed 
• Strong residential electrical installation experience
• Ability to lead installation projects on your own
• Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading other electricians is strongly preferred
