Stivers Ford Lincoln, Iowa’s #1 Ford Lincoln dealer, is GROWING!  We are currently adding to our Human Resources team and are now hiring for a Payroll Specialist.

Job Title:  Payroll Specialist 

Job Responsibilities 

• Process Payroll: Run semi-monthly payroll cycles for hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now.

• Verify Data: Review timesheets, confirm hours worked, and calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and commissions.

• Manage Deductions: Handle tax withholdings, benefit contributions, garnishments, and court-ordered payments.

• Resolve Inquiries: Answer employee questions regarding paychecks, tax forms, or discrepancies.

• Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local wage and tax laws.

• Maintain Records: Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare reports for audits and management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.

• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll platforms (such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, or QuickBooks).

• Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.

• Core Skills: High attention to detail, strong math skills, and strict confidentiality with sensitive data.
