We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll taxes, and payroll reporting, with at least 2 years of payroll experience. Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred, and experience with Reynolds and Reynolds payroll software is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls accurately and timely.
- Review and verify employee timekeeping, hours, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related information.
- Calculate and process payroll taxes, withholdings, deductions, and adjustments.
- Ensure payroll is processed in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Prepare and submit quarterly payroll tax filings and reports.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2s and other required tax forms.
- Reconcile payroll reports and payroll-related accounts.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records.
- Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, taxes, and payroll issues.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with audits and provide payroll documentation as needed.
- Perform other payroll and HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience required.
- Experience processing semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and payroll tax reporting.
- Experience preparing quarterly payroll tax filings.
- Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds payroll software strongly preferred.
- Automotive dealership or automotive industry payroll experience highly preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
