Position Summary:

We are looking for a trainee who wants to begin their career in HVAC with Brandywine Valley! No experience is required, we will provide on-the-job training.

Position Duties:

• Use hand tools and power tools to cut and shape sheet metal for duct and fitting
• Assist with preparing job estimates and other projects as needed.
• Assist other shop personnel with completing shop fittings on a timely basis.
• Help keep all machinery and equipment maintained and fully operational.
• Ensure that anyone entering the shop fabrication area has proper eye protection and follows all company safety policies.
• Complete paperwork to record all hours and materials used per job and submit to accounting department.
• Review schedule for upcoming jobs to confirm that all shop lists have been turned in for fabrication, notifying shop foreman if lists are missing.
• Help maintain required levels of shop stock items, informing warehouse staff of any shop stocking items needed.
• Assist warehouse staff if needed with stocking, pilling jobs, or deliveries.
• Keep the entire shop area neat, organized, and free of scrap and debris.
• Help maintain profitability within the shop.
