Principal Salesforce Consultant | Nonprofit

As a Principal Salesforce Consultant at Plative, you will serve as a strategic leader, solution designer, and trusted advisor, driving transformative Salesforce solutions for a diverse portfolio of Nonprofit clients. You will lead high-impact engagements from pre-sales scoping to final deployment, translating complex organizational needs into scalable technical roadmaps. In addition to guiding client change management and coaching project teams, you will operate on the cutting edge of consulting by directly embedding AI capabilities, like Claude and Agentforce, into your daily configuration, client strategy, and solution design to streamline builds, elevate delivery standards, and scale social impact.

Responsibilities Include:

• Partner with business development and practice leads to scope new engagements, deliver Level of Effort (LoE) estimates for complex platform customizations, and support pre-sales efforts.
• Function as the primary Solution Designer across any rank project, leading strategic planning, platform roadmapping, and prioritization discussions centered on business process optimization and ROI.
• Translate complex business processes into actionable functional and technical requirements; navigate high-stakes client conversations independently and alongside Delivery Leadership.
• Build and customize Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Salesforce core products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Flows) and third-party apps. Leverage VS Code, Salesforce CLI, and AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code) for fast-paced builds, system analyses, and configurations, applying expert technical judgment to validate AI-generated changes before deployment.
• Architect, plan, and execute complex data migrations and point-to-point or middleware (iPaaS) integration strategies across intricate client ecosystems.
• Formulate and execute comprehensive change management plans (training, communication, rollout strategies) to ensure sustainable client adoption.
• Identify delivery insights to refine methodology, build reusable assets (e.g., industry templates, business process blueprints), and publish original marketing and thought leadership content on emerging tech trends and customer tips.
• Coach and enable team members across functional areas, conduct interviews for key team hires, and cross-train existing resources on new skills and platform capabilities.
• Formulate and articulate clear points of view on newly released Salesforce platform features (including Agentforce) and their strategic relevance to the nonprofit sector.

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive Salesforce consulting experience delivering complex, enterprise-level client engagements as a functional subject matter expert.
• Expert-level experience configuring Nonprofit Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud, including declarative automation (Flows), reporting, and advanced system customizations.
• Proven ability to plan and execute complex data migrations and strong foundational knowledge in point-to-point and middleware platform (iPaaS) integrations.
• Demonstrated track record of scoping engagements, generating accurate LoEs, leading pre-sales efforts, and driving strategic change management initiatives.
• Comfortable configuring and developing in Salesforce using VS Code, Salesforce CLI, and AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, with the technical judgment to validate AI-generated changes before deployment.
• Exceptional executive-level presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; highly confident leading roadmapping workshops and handling difficult client situations.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the drive to independently experiment with new tools and navigate complex tech stacks.

Desired Qualifications:

• Hands-on exposure to Agentforce or Agentforce Nonprofit Cloud.
• Experience building reusable prompts or custom skills within Claude to boost team productivity.
• Advanced Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, or Advanced Administrator).
• Deep understanding of core social sector domain concepts, including grant management, program management, impact measurement, and fundraising operations.
• Experience authoring thought leadership, whitepapers, or marketing content focused on emerging technology trends and client advisory.
