Role: Senior Systems Architect (Cloud & Event-Driven Systems) - Hybrid

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Systems Architect to lead the technical design and architectural evolution of our core platforms. In this role, you will define the structural blueprint of our systems, champion modern design patterns such as hexagonal and event-driven architectures, and mentor a talented team of engineers to build resilient, scalable cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, resilient systems leveraging modern patterns including hexagonal architecture, serverless computing, and event-driven design.

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams to foster engineering excellence.

• Evaluate emerging technologies, lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives, and propose innovative architectural solutions.

• Create clear, comprehensive architectural documentation, diagrams, and long-term technical roadmaps.

• Partner closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into precise technical specifications.

• Ensure all system designs rigorously meet non-functional requirements regarding scalability, performance, reliability, and security.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of dedicated experience in system architecture or senior technical design roles.

• Hands-on, production experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• A proven track record of successfully implementing modern architecture patterns (hexagonal, serverless, microservices).

• Strong expertise in event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging patterns, and high-throughput distributed systems.

• Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes ecosystem tools.

• Familiarity with modern data engineering concepts, distributed data stores, and robust API design/management (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).

• A strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and secure-by-design principles.

• Comfort working across multiple programming languages and development paradigms.
