Certified Automotive Technician

Genesis Santa Monica is seeking a highly skilled Certified Automotive Technician to join our elite Service Team. We are looking for experienced technicians with Genesis and/or Hyundai certification and experience who take pride in delivering exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and customer service.

As a technician with Genesis Santa Monica, you’ll have the opportunity to work exclusively with the innovative Genesis luxury brand, utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and technology. Candidates with both Hyundai and Genesis experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

We are seeking an experienced automotive professional with strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform complex repairs with precision and efficiency.

$10,000 Signing Bonus for Qualified Candidates

• Qualified candidates are eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus, paid as follows:
• $5,000 after 90 days, contingent upon obtaining Genesis Certification
• $5,000 after 6 months

Responsibilities

The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunction of vehicles and perform repairs.
• Accurately document record of all repairs, services and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Collaborate with service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
• Perform maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Required: A minimum of 2 years of prior experience as an Automotive Service Technician at a Genesis or Hyundai dealership is required.
• Experience working with luxury vehicles and advanced automotive systems preferred. 
• ASE, Smog, and manufacturer certifications are desired.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Compensation

• The estimated hourly production rate range for this position is $33.80 - $65.00.
