General Summary:

The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading a global team of entry level to experienced professionals focused on overseeing our integrated platforms and developing the department’s vision, strategy, and execution in alignment with the company’s goals. This role supports cross-functional teams and focuses on enhancing content across the assigned product line that increases the efficacy of product development across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results

• Typically manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams

• Influences others to accept practices and approaches

• Communicates and influences executive leadership

• Owns short to mid-term execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the Product Management team

• Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team

• Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team

• Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency

• Participates in Go-To-Market (GTM) messaging, positioning, and strategy

• Interacts with customers and prospects to define market requirements, and translate these requirements into product requirements that the engineering team can deliver within specification, on time, and within budget

• Represents ConnectWise companies in key customer engagements, at analyst events, conferences and other venues • Builds, measures, and refines product requirements and user experience analysis process

• Co-creates and manages product lifecycle management and software development lifecycle 

• Identifies, develops, and manages contractual, technical, and consulting relationships with strategic partners/customers and providers, including joint ventures, subsidiary relationships, and projects

• Gathers, validates, and evaluates product/market requirements through market and customer research, competitive, and product research

• Develops functional specifications for assigned product features to include effective product and user interface design, rapid prototyping, product validation testing, and usability testing, while ensuring that the product strategy is adhered to throughout the product life cycle

• Develops and delivers materials to the appropriate marketing and sales organizations which convey the purpose and details of the product, definition of its user, benefits to the customer, customization capabilities, and competitive comparison

• Leads the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts to the various internal organizations

• Monitors internal processes for efficiency and validity pre & post product launch/changes

• Delivers timely and high-quality product releases that solve our partners business problems

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

• Strong ability to read, understand and communicate technical documentation

• Highly motivated person with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is continually changing

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience 

• 8+ years of relevant experience

• 5+ years of managerial experience

• Preferred: Experience with B2B software products, services in MSP industry, and product development

Working Conditions:

• Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location

• 20-30% travel may be required
