This is only the beginning. Realizing 5G’s full potential requires inventive minds with diverse skills, backgrounds, and perspectives to create world-changing technologies and products. This is the Invention Age—and this is where you come in.

The Compute Chipset Product Management team is part of QCT’s Product Management organization. The team manages the Windows on Snapdragon portfolio, which includes Snapdragon products used in laptops, notebooks, all-in-one devices, and other compute form factors.

The team’s objective is to synthesize and prioritize technical requirements, define the compute product and technology portfolio strategy, and build a roadmap that enables QCT to sustain technology, product, and business leadership. Portfolio development reflects technology evolution, standardization efforts, partnerships, changes in device engineering and testing processes, market and product requirements, business opportunities, and the competitive landscape.

This role leads compute chipset products through the full product lifecycle. Responsibilities include assessing market requirements, defining product positioning and feature specifications, partnering with engineering to evaluate technology trade-offs, developing business case justifications, and working with OEMs to secure portfolio design-ins and enabling successful device launches.

Key focus will be on defining AI platform products and specifications spanning silicon, models, agentic systems, and reference devices.

Principal Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of the PC processor market, including desktops, laptops, all-in-ones, small form factor devices, key processor vendors, OEMs, ODMs, channel partners, laptop market requirements, performance expectations, competitive dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Lead the end-to-end PC chipset processor product strategy from concept and definition through execution and end of life.
  • Understanding of analysis of market, customer, technology, and ecosystem needs to identify gaps and contribute to product design and definition discussions
  • Research new technologies, industry trends, and competitive approaches, and help develop ideas to grow Snapdragon adoption across computing categories.
  • Work with cross-functional teams involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of products or product features.
  • Support product lifecycle activities, including product updates, upgrades, maintenance, and end-of-life planning.
  • Contribute to cross-functional business cases for new products by gathering data, analyzing inputs, and documenting alignment with roadmap priorities.
  • Support technical marketing activities, including industry events, customer engagements, product demonstrations, and launches.
  • Prepare clear technical presentations and product materials that explain roadmap concepts and product capabilities to internal teams and customers.
  • Collect and summarize customer feedback and market signals and help translate them into potential product or roadmap recommendations.
  • Coordinate assigned product activities and maintain effective communication across functional teams.
  • Stay current on competitors, technology advances, and the product ecosystem, and contribute ideas for product differentiation and emerging opportunities.
  • Experience in semiconductors, AI infrastructure, data center systems, networking, or related technology areas.
  • Knowledge of AI technology trends/workloads, including LLM architectures, model optimization, on-device and hybrid AI, software stacks, developer ecosystems, workload requirements, and external AI accelerators, and help assess their relevance to computing products. Understanding of AI software ecosystems, frameworks, compilers, or optimization toolchains. Familiarity with technologies such as PCIe, HBM, LPDDR, or large-scale system architectures.
  • Provide regular status updates and maintain documentation to support alignment of product-line plans.
  • Support cross-functional product delivery by tracking agreed KPIs, specifications, milestones, and open issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document product goals, including performance, cost, timeline, and customer schedules; support feasibility assessments and cross-functional decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of product management experience in translating system solutions into shippable products and ratifiable specifications with clear KPIs, conformance criteria, and partner enablement.

  • Solid understanding of AI accelerators, CPUs, GPUs, memory subsystems, high-speed interconnects, storage technologies, or client / data center architecture.
  • Experience with local AI accelerators (CPU, GPU, NPU) across the app-to-silicon stack.
  • MBA preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 4+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
