Position Overview

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our Louvers team, where you will contribute to the design and development of HVAC louver products. In this role, you will focus on creating and testing designs, performing engineering analyses, and preparing technical documentation to support manufacturing and production. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients, assists with troubleshooting technical issues, provides service support as needed, and staying up to date with advancements in HVAC technology and engineering.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

• Design and test HVAC equipment and systems using SolidWorks and other engineering software tools.• Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability.• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC projects.• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems.• Provide service support to existing clients by addressing inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.• Stay current with trends and advancements in HVAC technology and engineering.

The ideal candidate for this position will have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a Mechanical Engineering Technology program.• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant design tools.• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and testing related to HVAC systems; familiarity with electrical and controls is an asset.• Previous experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes is considered an asset.• Experience with MRP or ERP systems is considered an asset.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.• Manufacturing experience is considered an asset‑oriented mindset‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges‑paced, dynamic environment.
