About the role

Position SummaryThe CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment used to manufacture prototypes and production components within the Production Innovation Center. This role ensures quality, safety, and efficiency while supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and work instructions.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.

Load materials, tooling, and fixtures for production runs.

Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.

Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Maintain accurate production records.

Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum two (2) years of CNC machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Experience using precision measuring instruments.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment.
