What You’ll Do
Lead the quarterly and annual global income tax provision under ASC 740, including current and deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, tax-rate reconciliations, journal entries and disclosures.
Own the tax close calendar and coordinate timely, complete data from Accounting, FP&A, Consolidations and other stakeholders; and lead the tax workstream with the company’s external auditors, including PBC requests, technical accounting support and timely resolution of audit matters.
Prepare and review legal-entity forecasts, annual effective tax rate analyses, cash-tax projections and interim provision updates, including explanations of actual-to-forecast and period-over-period movements.
Direct outsourced federal, state, local and international income tax compliance, including extensions, estimated payments, information returns and foreign statutory or tax-return requirements.
Lead recurring and special projects involving research credits, IRC Section 382 limitations, state apportionment, tax attributes and other material corporate tax matters.
Manage income tax audits and notices by developing fact patterns, coordinating information requests, tracking positions and exposures, and escalating material judgments.
Support the tax workstream for new foreign entities, data centers and market launches, including entity setup, permanent-establishment risk, withholding taxes, local compliance and repatriation considerations.
Maintain transfer-pricing policies, intercompany agreements, supporting analyses and documentation.
Build scalable tax processes, documented review controls and evidence suitable for a rapidly growing company preparing for public-company reporting and SOX expectations.
Partner across Finance, Legal, Treasury, Infrastructure, Procurement and other teams so Tax is involved early in significant contracts, financings, entity changes and data-center investments.
You
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation or a related field; active CPA license strongly preferred.
Eight or more years of relevant corporate tax experience, including public accounting and/or an in-house tax role in a complex multi-entity business.
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, US GAAP tax accounting and financial-statement tax disclosures, with experience leading quarterly or annual provision work.
Solid US federal corporate tax foundation and experience overseeing multi-state and international income tax compliance through external advisers.
Working knowledge of international tax concepts, transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, with the ability to implement adviser recommendations in accounting and operating processes.
Experience coordinating audits, technical analyses and cross-functional projects with incomplete data and competing deadlines.
Strong analytical, review and project-management skills, with the judgment to distinguish routine execution from matters requiring escalation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters to finance and business stakeholders.
High ethical standards and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Nice to Have
Experience in AI infrastructure, cloud computing, data centers, hardware, leasing or another capital-intensive and internationally expanding business.
Public-company reporting, IPO-readiness or SOX tax-control experience.
NetSuite, tax-provision software, fixed-asset systems or other large ERP and finance-transformation experience.
Master's degree in taxation
