About the role

About the Role

Join a product-focused mobile engineering team at a consumer fintech company, building and scaling an Android app that helps people manage their finances. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners to shape the product and deliver reliable experiences for consumers.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain the Android application.

  • Contribute to platform development and Android architecture.

  • Solve product and engineering problems pragmatically.

  • Help shape product design and direction with cross-functional partners.

  • Communicate effectively and collaborate across teams.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership on the Android team.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, including 2 or more years building and shipping production Android apps.

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.

  • Experience developing consumer-facing mobile applications.

  • Strong Kotlin skills and practical experience with Jetpack Compose and MVVM or Clean Architecture.

  • Experience with Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.

  • Familiarity with protobufs, REST APIs, and gRPC.

  • Proficiency with unit, instrumentation, and UI testing, as well as mobile CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with Android platform development and architecture, mentorship, and a strong academic background.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $160,000 to $200,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
