About the role

The Design team works alongside Product, Engineering, and Growth to design, iterate, and market our core platform. This is an exciting opportunity to redefine how clinical trials are run, moving an entire industry away from manual processes and toward seamless, intuitive user flows housed in the platform you will build. This is deeply impactful work that directly helps develop novel treatments—a perfect application of design for the greater good.

As we mature, we are looking for a Director of Product Design to scale our design operations, implement AI into our core design processes, and lead our growing team of product designers. In addition to product design, this role oversees brand identity, marketing assets, and creative contractor relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer to step in and own our design function end-to-end.

This is an in-person role, based in our offices in NoHo.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product and Engineering to define and refine product development processes.

• Strategize, roadmap, design, and execute new features from concept to launch.

• Lead UX/UI research to understand users and translate insights into product requirements.

• Balance hands-on design execution with managing and mentoring your team of designers.

• Maintain and scale our design system to ensure UI consistency across web, tablet, and mobile.

• Manage contracted designers/illustrators to develop and scale creative assets for the company.

• Oversee brand identity across the company website, sales materials, and product literature.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience working alongside Product and Engineering teams.

• Proven ability to build B2B platforms with complex, multi-user workflows.

• Experience with AI-driven design processes and proficiency in Figma, GitHub, and developer-aligned UI libraries (e.g., PrimeVue).

• Experience managing, mentoring, or leading product designers and illustrators.

• Hands-on experience conducting user research, usability testing, and workflow mapping.

• Track record of shipping data-heavy SaaS products across web, tablet, and mobile platforms.

• Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and scaling comprehensive design systems.

Preferences

• Prior experience designing healthcare or clinical research products.

• Familiarity with healthcare data compliance and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

• Experience with—or a desire to learn—brand, marketing, and website design.

• Experience creating product demo videos, motion graphics, or light 2D animation.
